  • If a Georgia driver accumulates 15 points in a 2 year period the Department of Motor Vehicle can suspended their driving privileges for 6 months. The completion of a 6 hour defensive driving course is required prior to the driver receiving reinstatement of their license.

  • If a Georgia licensed driver accumulates 15 points in a 2 year period for a second time within a 5 year period the Department of Motor Vehicles can suspend driving privileges for 1 year which will require the completion of a 6 hour defensive driving course prior to the reinstatement of the suspended license.

 

Legal- This course will help you to avoid costly insurance increases! O.C.G.A. 33-9-42 states: Drivers who are 25 years old or older that meet certain requirements* and take a Certified Defensive Driving Course shall receive a discount of no less than 10% off of their insurance premiums.

Cost of 6 Hour Course:
State required DUI or Probation- $150.
